Save the date scratch card: let guests scratch to see your date
Make a free online scratch card for your save the date. Guests scratch the silver to reveal your date and place, then add it to their calendar. Nothing is stored.
What it does
Enter your names, the wedding date and, if you like, the place and a short note. You get a link. When a guest opens it, they see a silver card and scratch it with a finger or mouse to reveal the date. Then they can add the date to their calendar with one tap.
It works on phones and computers. If someone cannot scratch, there is a "Reveal the date" button.
Everything you type lives inside the link itself. Nothing is saved on our servers, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to delete.
How to use it
- Fill in your names and the date. Add the place and a note if you want.
- Press "Make my scratch card" and copy the link.
- Send it by text, email or a group chat, in place of a plain save the date.
- Send the formal invitation later, once the details are final.
For wording to go with it, see digital save the date wording and the invitation timeline.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and nothing to install.
Can guests add the date to their calendar?
Yes. After the reveal, "Add to my calendar" downloads a calendar file that opens in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook.
What if a guest cannot scratch the card?
They press "Reveal the date". The date is also readable by a screen reader.
Does the card store my date anywhere?
No. The details travel inside the link. We only count how many times the tool is used, with no names or dates.
