Wedding budget showdown: spend a budget, compare with a partner
A free game for couples and friends. Spend a wedding budget on what matters to you, then compare your plan with someone else's to see how alike you are.
What it does
You get a budget and ten things to spend it on: venue and catering, photography, attire, flowers, music and more. Slide each one up or down. The amounts always add up to your budget, so giving more to one thing means less for the rest.
When you lock in your plan, you see where you put the most compared with the usual split. You also get a link. Send it to your partner, a friend or a parent. They make their own plan, and the game shows how alike the two plans are and where you differ most.
It is a game, not financial advice. Real prices vary a great deal by place and season. When you are ready for real numbers, use the wedding budget calculator.
Why play it
Money is a common source of disagreement while planning. Spending the same pretend budget separately shows what each person values, before any deposit is paid.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up and nothing to install.
Can I change the budget?
Yes. Type any amount from 1,000 up. The game works in whole units of any currency.
Does the other person see my plan before they make theirs?
No. They see it only after they lock in their own, so one plan does not influence the other.
Is anything stored?
No. Your plan travels inside the link. We count only how many times the game is played.
